The gunman who went on a shooting rampage after a zombie rave in Seattle early Saturday morning was invited to the party by one of the guests, police said Sunday. The gunman committed suicide when officers approached him.

He was identified Sunday as Huff, who recently moved to Seattle with his twin brother. But something triggered a murderous attack, and Aaron Huff, 28, originally of Whitefish, Mont., grabbed a shotgun and killed four men and two women, police allege.

Dozens of rounds were fired in the house, where 20 people, ranging from young teens to those in their mid-20s, had gathered after a larger party called "Better Off Undead." Some of the guests were "made up to look as if they were dead," police said.

Huff, who went by the name Kyle, was charged with felony criminal mischief in 2000 after shooting a statue of a moose with a shotgun at an art exhibit in Whitefish.

There was little else known about him or the motive for the murder. The shooter, who had been invited to the party, apparently left the house about 7 a.m. local time and came back 10 minutes later heavily armed.

As the gunman walked the half-block from his black Dodge pickup truck, he Spray-painted the word "NOW" in orange twice on the sidewalk and once on the steps of a neighbour's home, police said.

Police said the gunman was wearing bandoliers of shells for the shotgun and carrying additional clips for the handgun. In his truck, police found an assault rife and multiple "banana clips" carrying 30 bullets each.

I think the Seattle Freeze had something to do with why Kyle Huff killed 6 people in Capitol Hill.

The ravers invited Huff because he gave off "bad vibes". Think of it as like the movie "Carrie". Carrie was eventually made prom queen as a kind of elaborate joke. Everybody was in on it but her. This is what this looks like to me. They invited Huff as part of an similar joke. Peace, love, unity, respect (PLUR)? No, just ordinary, banal, tiresome teenage cruelty.
